Our history
Esaias Adolf Tegnér founded the business in 1880. The state nationalised private alcohol companies in 1917 and AB Tegnér & Wilcken was paused. The business was relaunched in 2015. Today the group brings together Tegnér Spirits & Wine, Terrific Wines, The Grape Selection, Global Wines & Spirits, 46 Brands and Wiltshire. In 2024 the group sold over 3.3 million litres.

1880
Esaias Adolf Tegnér founds AB Tegnér & Wilcken in Stockholm. The company grows into one of the country's largest wine and spirits houses.
1917
The state takes over the private alcohol companies. Tegnér's business is paused, but the family's knowledge and networks endure.
2015
The business is relaunched. Import, brand development and export build the next chapter.
Today
Tegnér Spirits & Wine is a group covering import, brand development, distribution and export. In 2024 the group sold over 3.3 million litres.
