Clotilde Davenne founded her own winery in 2004. By 2009, when Terrific Wines began distributing her wines in the Swedish market, the brand and sales was virtually zero. Through a concerted effort to promote Clotilde Davenne among Swedish wine journalists and by carefully selecting her premium products, we successfully positioned her as the “Queen of Chablis.” This initiative resulted in three of her wines being permanently listed at Systembolaget. 

The remarkable success of Clotilde Davenne in Sweden serves as a prime example of how to effectively introduce an emerging producer with significant potential to the market. Today, her wines achieve annual sales of approximately 400k liters in Sweden and a growth by 460 % since 2015, demonstrating the long-term impact of our efforts and the quality of the products.

The Clotilde Davenne brand showcase what a commitment to quality, persistent marketing efforts, and strong relationships with journalists can elevate a previously unknown producer into a respected and well-known brand, fostering continuous growth and enabling more successful product launches. In 2018, Tegnér Spirits & Wine launched GW’s Red in collaboration with renowned TV personality and bestselling author Leif GW Persson, utilizing the ordering assortment. The wine has experienced tremendous success, becoming one of the best-selling wines in Sweden. Since the initial launch, we have introduced six additional products, solidifying Leif GW Persson’s wine series as one of the strongest wine brands in Sweden, with annual sales of approximately 2 million liters.

The brand portfolio is continuously evolving, driven by strategic product launches within the ordering assortment, complemented by marketing investments designed to enhance brand awareness and stimulate sales growth continuously.
